Jingle Bell Run — Chilly and Snowy!
But the Wild Root Market was there. Thanks to Meg and Lizz for manning the table, along with Santa and other holiday dignitaries. Joe represented us well by winning the competition in his age group — congratulations, Joe!

Milaeger’s Fashion Show
Meg and Lizz had a great time last Saturday, meeting the fashion-minded at Milaeger’s, serving fresh carrot juice, and makin’ a big mess of their clean white tablecloth! Think they’ll invite us back next year??!!

Our First Community Meeting
On August 24th, we hosted a meeting for interested folks to come and connect with us to learn more about the Wild Root Market, and our plans for opening in the future. It was very well attended, and hosted by our friends at the Eco Justice Center. Thank you, Sisters!

Logo Mania!

One of the first orders of business was to create a logo, one which would embody our vision of mindful food production and consumption. We realized that a root would be a great icon, since “racine” means “root” in french, and “wild root” is slang for ginseng, which grows abundantly in Wisconsin. A magical pairing, we thought! So here are all the choices our talented designer, Jim Utech, came up with. Thanks, Jim!
